Solar Generator Deals — Current Prices and the Next Sale Window

This is the page that is always current. Rather than going stale the week after an event, it shows the live Amazon price on every model we track, the lowest price we have actually logged for each one, and which sale window is coming next. Bookmark it and check back before you buy — a “deal” is only a deal relative to a price you can verify.

As an Amazon Associate, SolarGenAdvisor earns from qualifying purchases made through links on this page, at no additional cost to you.

No major sale event running

Next up: Prime Big Deal Days — October 6, 2026

18 days away. Amazon’s October Prime event. Promotional pricing is limited to Prime members, and the window is short — 48 hours.

Sale window Typical dates Prime required? Strongest on
Prime Big Deal Days Early October (Oct 6–7 in 2026) Yes 1,000–2,100 Wh mid-capacity units
Black Friday & Cyber Monday Late November into early December No 3,000 Wh+ whole-home systems and bundles
Year-end clearance Late December into early January No Older-generation models being cleared

Two smaller patterns sit outside the calendar: new-model launches, when the outgoing generation is discounted, and the spring outdoor-season promotions ahead of camping demand. Neither is as reliable as the three windows above.

Every Model We Track, With Live Pricing

Current Amazon price and the lowest price we have logged in our own daily price log. Where a model is at or near a logged low, the pill turns green — that is the closest thing to a verifiable signal in this category. Prices checked September 18, 2026.

Lowest-logged pills come from our own daily price log — see the full history in the solar generator price tracker. They describe what we observed on the Amazon listing: not a manufacturer claim, and not a prediction.

Should You Buy Now or Wait for the Next Window?

Three rules that hold up regardless of which event is next on the calendar:

Buy now if

The current price is at or below the lowest we have logged, and you need the unit this season — waiting for a possible price means going without heat, refrigeration, or CPAP coverage in the meantime.

Wait if

You are shopping the 3,000 Wh+ tier and the next window is Black Friday. It has historically been the deeper window for whole-home systems on both price and selection.

Ignore

Crossed-out list prices and percentage claims. Compare against the logged low above, which is a price the product actually sold at.

For the full reasoning by capacity tier, read Prime Big Deal Days vs Black Friday. For the seasonal urgency angle in December, see the solar tax credit guide.

Solar Generator Deals FAQ

When are solar generators cheapest?

There are three windows that matter. Prime Big Deal Days in early October, Black Friday and Cyber Monday in late November, and year-end clearance in late December. Historically the November window has been the deepest and most broadly applied, particularly on 3,000 Wh and larger whole-home systems, while October tends to favour the 1,000–2,100 Wh tier.

Do solar generators ever go on sale outside those windows?

Yes, but less predictably. New-model launches often trigger discounts on the outgoing generation, and brands run spring promotions ahead of camping season. Both can produce genuinely good pricing because they are inventory-driven rather than headline-driven — but you cannot plan around them the way you can the three main windows.

How do you know if a price is actually a discount?

Compare against a price you know the product has sold at, not the crossed-out list price on the listing. We record the Amazon price of every model on this page once per calendar day, so the lowest-logged figure next to each one is a real observed price rather than a marketing baseline. The full history is in our price tracker.

Should I wait for Black Friday to buy a solar generator?

If you are shopping a 3,000 Wh+ whole-home system, waiting has historically paid off. If you need a 1,000–2,100 Wh unit and the current price is at or below the logged low, buying now is reasonable — and it means you have power before winter outage season rather than after. Our tier-by-tier comparison breaks this down.

Do I need Amazon Prime to get these deals?

Only for Prime Big Deal Days in October, which is restricted to Prime members. Black Friday, Cyber Monday and year-end clearance are open to everyone — no membership required.

Are the prices on this page live?

Yes. Prices are pulled from Amazon and cached for up to six hours normally, dropping to one hour during major sale events so the figure you see matches the deal. Always confirm on the Amazon listing before purchasing.

What size solar generator should I buy before watching prices?

Decide that first, then shop — it is the only way to avoid overpaying for capacity you will not use. As a rough guide: 300 Wh covers phones and laptops, 1,000 Wh handles camping, CPAP and short refrigerator runs, 2,000 Wh covers essential home circuits, and 3,000 Wh+ is whole-home territory.
